「マリアは月が満ちて、男子の初子を産んだ。そして、その子を布にくるんで飼葉桶に寝かせた。」（ルカの福音書２章７節）今月、様々なクリスマスのイベントによってイエス・キリストの誕生を祝いました。前年と同じように、家族クリスマス集会（２２日）とキャンドルサービス（２４日）があり、クリスマスキャロルを歌ったり、聖書の言葉を読んだりすることによって、クリスマスの素晴らしさを味わうことができました。ちびっことママの会（１４日）で、クリスマスの話しを聞いてから、ナティビティ（イエス様がお生まれになった時の様子をあらわすもの）の図工を作りました。国際家庭料理教室（１３、１４日）で、ドイツ風クリスマスクッキーを参加者たちと一緒に作りました。多くの人が今月の行事に参加して、そして、一緒にイエス・キリストの誕生という最初のクリスマスを思い出すことができて感謝です。

“Mary gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger.” (Luke 2:7) This month, we celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ through various Christmas events. Like previous years, we had a family Christmas service (12/22) and an evening candlelight service (12/24), where by singing Christmas carols and reading the words of the Bible, we got to enjoy the wonderful experience of Christmas. At a toddler’s party (12/14), we learned the Christmas story and made a nativity craft. At the cooking class (12/13,14), participants came together to make German styled Christmas cookies. We are thankful that many people joined us this month to remember the first Christmas, which is the birth of Jesus Christ.
