今月の初めには、神様が与えてくださった祝福を覚えるために、収穫感謝祭が行われました。その日、教会の前に多くの果物や野菜が集められました。その週、児童養護施設を訪ね、集まられた果物や野菜を寄付させていただきました。これからも、他の方法で花巻市の役に立つことができればと考えています。 今月のハッピーキッズには、子ども達が歌ったり遊んだりしました。そして、失われたコインの聖書のたとえ話について話しました（ルカ15章）。今月も、シュトレン（伝統的なドイツのクリスマスケーキ）の料理教室が行われました（16日、17日、24日、25日）。この四つの教室の中で四十人以上が参加してくださって感謝です。シュトレンの歴史、そして、クリスマスの本当の意味について話し合うことができました。来月の様々なクリスマスのイベントを楽しみにしています。 

Early this month, we had a Harvest Thanksgiving to remember the many blessings that God has given to us. That day, much fruits and vegetables were collected and put in the front of the church. That week, we visited a Children’s home and donated the food to them. We hope to be able to serve the local community in other ways in the future. At this month’s Happy Kids, we sang, played and told the Bible parable of the lost coin (Luke 15). This month, we also had a Stollen (Traditional German Christmas cake) baking class. We are thankful that over 40 people came over 4 separate days. In these classes, we told the participants the history behind Stollen and the true meaning of Christmas. We look forward to next month’s Christmas programs.
